Talk it through, a student example with: Oluwatosin

I feel like loneliness is very normal.

Loneliness can happen if you are overwhelmed.

I kept on saying overwhelmed because, it's overwhelming because being as an international student, being in a new country, having to not know anybody, or getting rent, getting [a] job, paying school fees and things like that.

Sometimes it could be overwhelming for you, but the university [at University of East London] have done something really great.

They provided there's a mental health service that you could use. Talk to them if you are having any difficulty, loneliness or anything personal that you do not want to share [with others].

They have professionals that will help you navigate through this. They've been really helpful because I've directed like few students to them and it's been good feedback.

So I think loneliness is very normal. It just depends on how you put yourself through this. But the university has been helpful.

Remember to talk to someone if you are experiencing a difficulty.
